11. Here let an end be given to the argument; not because there is not an abundance of more [arguments], but because it does not require various ones. For, they say, these [points already made] are sufficient, for discerning ears, for those who oppose the defenders of the aforementioned marriages, to show the indecency and unseemliness of the matter, and so that they themselves B might exempt themselves from the threatened punishment hanging over those who do not distinguish for the lawless, and do not proclaim the lawless act.
