Corrected according to the Gallican, Vatican, German, and English manuscript codices, as well as according to older editions, increased and illustrated with many items, by the care and study of the monks of the Order of Saint Benedict, of the Congregation of Saint Maur.

There are added the commentaries and scholia of various authors on all the works of Saint Gregory.

Prepared and curated by J.-P. Migne, editor of the universal library of the clergy, or of complete courses in each branch of ecclesiastical science.
