Since in this edition of Cyril we have established a new order, especially regarding the dogmatic writings, let the reader, if he wishes, consult the collation of both orders—the old and the new—which we present at the end of the final volume; where he will also see at a single glance how many things have been added anew to our edition. Furthermore, let him hold it for certain that no more filth has been removed from these books than has been removed from the stables of Augeas.
