A For this reason Christ emptied Himself, so that we all might receive from His fullness. His death became your immortality. The passion of the Master became the exaltation of the slave. But you turn that benefit into an occasion for blasphemy.

B It begins: The fourth argument. What is without time and from eternity is uncreated; and that which is uncreated is also eternal; and God alone is eternal. And after other things: O holy Trinity [(99)] numbered in one name; for it is not called a monad and a dyad, nor a monad and a monad; but a Trinity in a Monad, and a Monad in a Trinity; uniformly, in one name. One God, Father in the Son, Son in the Father with the Holy Spirit [(2)]. We know Father as Father; Son as Son; Holy Spirit as Holy Spirit; a Trinity in unity. For the unity of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is one; one substance, one authority, one will; one Church, one baptism, one faith.Of the same.
One is the glory of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. For, "My glory," He says, "I will not give to another." C For the Son is not a second God, but the Word of the one and only God, who is proclaimed as God in the Father, just as the Father is proclaimed in the Son. As also Isaiah says, proclaiming the Son together with the Father: "They shall adore you, and in you they shall pray: because in you is God, the God of Israel, the Savior." All those who oppose Him shall be ashamed and confounded, those who do not confess Him and His Spirit to be of the same essence as the Son, and that apart from Him there is no God. It is not so: heaven forbid! The Trinity is not created, but eternal; and there is one deity in the Trinity, and one glory of the holy Trinity. And do you dare to cleave It into different natures? It is fitting for God alone to say "mine." For all things are truly His possession alone.V.
