VARIOUS READINGS ON THE COMMENTARY ON THE GOSPEL OF JOHN.

Col. 48 A 7. ^A εἰ δοκιμήν, in the vulgate ἐπει, but it agrees with Cyril and the ancient version, "An experimentum." Col. 161 C 4. καὶ τὸ κοινὸν τῆς ἀνθρωπότητος εἰς αὐτὸν ἀναβιοί πρόσωπον: The catena on the Gospel of John published by Balthasar Corderius reads otherwise: εἰς τὸ αὐτοῦ ἀναβαίνει πρόσωπον, "and that which is common to human nature passes into the person of Christ." Trapezuntius retained the same reading as we have. Col. 192 A 12. δι' ὃν we have emended from δι' ὧν. Col. 196 D 10. ἀνθρωπότητος we have restored, as in the copy transmitted to us from the Vatican it was read corruptly as ἀνωτάτω. Col. 205 C 14. Πνεῦμα σοφίας, the printed LXX has παιδείας. Col. 705 A 15. σχήμα we have emended from σχίσμα. Ibid. B 8. θρασεῖ καὶ πρὸς δέος ἐπιτ. In the copy it was read corruptly as θρασὺς πρὸς δέος ἐπιτίμιον. Col. 708 B 9. παντί τῳ, whereas it was read erroneously as παντὶ τό. Ibid. C 1. τὰ τολμήματα. In the catena of D. de Marlay Maclor. on the Gospel of John, τὸ τόλμημα. Col. 709 B 10. γὰρ we have added from the Harleian catena. Ibid. C 11. ἀπημφιεσμένως, whereas in the copy it was ἀπημφιεσμένος. Col. 712 A 14. θεοπρεπούς emended from διαπρεπούς. Col. 714 C 15. ἐξ ὧν ὅτι χρὴ μὴ πιστ. In the Catena Corderiana it is read: ἐξ ὧν φοντο παραφρόνως ὅτι χρὴ μὴ πιστεύειν. Col. 716 A 7. λελύττηκόσιν I have restored for λελυπηκόσιν.
